Community Partner Initiatives

Urban Triage, Inc. seeks to deal with and reduce the impact of systematic racism by partnering with organizations that are dedicated to Supporting Healthy Black Families. Below is a list of our community partner initiatives and/or projects.

Cook It Forward

Cook It Forward is a collaboration between local restaurants and local nonprofits to create an end-to-end distribution network to tackle food insecurity in Madison. We are partnering with Downtown Madison restaurants to produce healthy, fresh meals for insecure families, seniors, and people with disabilities. The meals will be safely created, individually packaged, and delivered to local food banks, pantries, and other sites, serving as an intermediary. Last-mile distribution partners will ensure that the growing number of individuals and families who need the food, and without recourse to access it, receive it.

Dane County Collaboration of Black Service Providers

DCCBSP is composed of Black-led small, grassroots to mid-sized community-based organizations that have been mobilizing since early March to meet the needs of those most affected by COVID-19.

Homeless Services Consortium of Dane County

Homeless Services Consortium of Dane County is a partnership of agencies, funders, advocates, and formerly homeless persons committed to preventing and ending homelessness.

MMSD Black Excellence

Urban Triage, Inc. provided safe space, the tools, and the support for developing analysis around whose metrics are used to define Black Excellence, Black children, and by design, Black people. Black greatness can not be dictated by the very systems used to denigrate Black people. As a result, we orchestrated 12 workshops to support Black families, youth, and co-conspirators in redefining Black Excellence and healing through adversity.
