We are thrilled to announce the 3rd Annual Urban Harvest Festival, which celebrates our 3rd year of recognizing our agriculture program achievements and community impact. This festival, grounded in sustainability and growth, honors the collective efforts of community partners, volunteers, and community members in empowering vulnerable individuals in the Greater Dane County Area. This event celebrates urban agriculture collaboration and community, centering families, Black joy, and economic empowerment. The festival will take place on September 7, 2024, at our farm at the Farley Center for Peace, Justice, and Sustainability from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.

SHUTTLE SERVICE

We will provide shuttle services to and from our farm. Our shuttle services are wheelchair-accessible and cater to the needs of those with disabilities. We highly recommend signing up for shuttle services, as the location is about 15 minutes from Park St. To sign up for shuttle services, please email info@urbantriage.org and fill out this form HERE.

"I must shout out to Urban Triage and the staff and volunteers. As a 70-year-old, it's a little hard to impress me. But I love it when there is an exception. I was very impressed with the warm and welcoming atmosphere at Farley Farm yesterday. Urban Triage, you showed up and out. I take my hat off to you with love and appreciation. Ciara was a great MC, and she kept things flowing smoothly 👏.

The day was well planned, with many wonderful activities for kids and families. They even had ADA parking and parking lot attendants guiding you to park. I can't think of one thing they could have done better in putting this second annual event together. Rita and I just looked with amazement at all the positive energy on the farm! I've been in Madison since 1971, and I don't remember experiencing a community event that was so much fun and entertaining for everyone. You could feel the community vibes; folks felt like this was "their" event and didn't feel like they didn't belong (like some had said when attending some of the community events held). Urban Triage can reach and engage with some of our most service-needed families.

That is a true blessing. At last year's event, we're talking about DJ Pain 1, who was outstanding in keeping the music going, a wonderful live band with "Cigarettes Break" out of Milwaukee, the bouncing house for kids, well-spoken word performances, juggling, dancing, a beautiful youth dance performance, stilt walking, delicious free food, face painting, tractor rides, shuttle services, free wine and beer for adults, popcorn, free organic vegetables, free pumpkins 🎃, and I probably missed a few activities. It was just a nonstop-moving atmosphere. I know many kids slept well last night as they were a ball of fun to watch, running around from one activity to another and seeing so many kids with nothing but smiles. I'm sure the cotton candy helped them expand their energy.

Let's support Urban Triage because Brandi Grayson, the CEO, is truly reaching all layers of the community in so many positive ways." Dennis McClain.
