Empowering Youth, Transforming Housing, Building Futures.

Youth Housing Support Improvement (YHSI)

Youth Housing Support Improvement (YHSI) is dedicated to addressing the housing challenges faced by young adults. Through the support of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), YHSI aims to build a youth-led movement for change by hosting statewide events and providing leadership development. By providing comprehensive support services, advocacy, and access to resources. YHSI works to prevent youth homelessness and empower individuals to secure stable housing. The initiative focuses on building partnerships with the community and targeted efforts, YHSI is committed to ensuring that every young person has the opportunity to live in safe, supportive, and sustainable environments.

Our Goal: Establish a collective effort to uplift Black youth and create a stronger response to homelessness

Key outcomes:

  • Youth will gain awareness of homelessness issues and how to advocate for change.
  • Youth leaders will have the tools to push for policy improvements.
  • The program will strengthen partnerships among organizations dedicated to youth support.

YHSI is committed to empowering young people and building a more equitable future.
