On September 15, 2022, at 12:00 a.m., the Dane CORE 2.0 Neighborly application portal will close – effectively pausing the ability to submit new applications and additional funding requests.
As of August 29, 2022, the Dane CORE 2.0 Emergency Rental Assistance Program is approaching the distribution of nearly all remaining funds. While this pause means that new applications can’t be submitted, any applications submitted before this date will continue to be reviewed and potentially paid, pending funding availability. More funds have been requested from the Federal government to continue to operate the Dane CORE 2.0 Program, and if additional funds become available, the application portal will be reopened.
Urban Triage and Dane County Human Services proudly present our rental support program as part of the Dane County CORE 2.0 collaboration with the City of Madison, Community Action Coalition (CAC), and Tenant Resource Center (TRC).
Staff and Volunteers at Urban Triage are eager to provide exceptional customer service to our community through our stigma-free call center and in-person drop-in hours for residents who live outside of the City of Madison. Supports include rental arrears, forward rent, and security deposits. We've improved processes to ensure prompt allocation of funds and callbacks.
If you've applied previously for CORE by the Tenant Resource Center and haven't received rental support, PLEASE reapply below via the DANE CORE 2.0 portal. There was a glitch in transferring previous application information to the new database, and the quickest way to move forward is redoing the application. We apologize tremendously for the inconvenience and understand the frustration of resubmitting the application and all documents.
As of February 8, 2021, Urban Triage has processed over $5.3 million dollars in rental support to residents outside of the City of Madison. Processing time is approximately 30 calendar days from the date that ALL documents are received from the tenant and landlord. Please ensure all documents are submitted on the front end to shorten processing time. READ the requirements carefully below.
We're here to serve you. We hear you. We see you. We are you.
