Urban Triage, founded by Brandi Grayson in 2019, serves as a lifeline for Madison’s Black and underserved communities. Inspired by Grayson's own traumatic upbringing in foster care, the organization focuses on empowering individuals to overcome adversity through trauma-informed care and innovative programs. One such program is the Prodigal Academy partnership, which offers training in trades, housing, and therapy to help rebuild lives. As Urban Triage prepares for its first-ever Black Brilliance Gala, it continues to be a beacon of resilience and community empowerment.
