Urban Triage Highlights Supporting Healthy Black Agriculture Production Class

September 18, 2024

Urban Triage’s agriculture program, led by CEO Brandi Grayson and supported by USDA and donors, is one of their most popular services. Based at the Farley Center, the program empowers Black Wisconsin farmers, offering the 12-week Supporting Healthy Black Agriculture workgroup series, which teaches the basics of farming and entrepreneurial skills. Through a free CSA program, Urban Triage distributes over 5,000 lbs of organic produce annually. The program has inspired participants to start their own ventures, including garden plots and flower businesses, and continues to foster a growing interest in agriculture.
