Volunteer Opportunities

1. Emerging Adults Transitional Home

We seek dedicated volunteers to support young adults transitioning to independence at our Emerging Adults Transition Youth Home. Volunteers can help in numerous ways, from teaching life skills like cooking, cleaning, and budgeting, offering employment readiness support with resumes and interviews, leading health, wellness, and conflict resolution workshops, to guiding access to health care services.

Whether you're sharing your expertise in financial literacy, mentoring from lived experience, or facilitating group discussions, your contribution will empower residents with the tools they need to thrive.

2. Supporting Healthy Black Agriculture

Supporting Healthy Black Agriculture (SHBA) teaches vulnerable families how to grow food and enter agricultural ventures. Our initiative has multiple components, from growing hemp to helping Black farmers access funds and providing bonding time for children and their families on the land.

Join us in being part of change. We need help maintaining the farm, including administrative tasks relative to the programs.

3. Outreach

Our Outreach Specialists need support going out into the community 2x times a week to locate, identify, and build relationships with those experiencing homelessness to engage them to provide immediate support and intervention.
