The Golden Hour is Urban Triage's formal summer Gala Style Brunch

As the hours move toward evening and the light turns golden, so does the room. Madison's most engaged community members & leaders, professionals, and changemakers, dressed in their finest, brightest, most unapologetically bold summer attire, gathered in one place to celebrate what this community has built.

We are asking you to come draped in color. Vivid, radiant, show-stopping color, because this gathering deserves nothing less than your most brilliant self walking through the door. Let your colors speak before you even say a word. This is what celebration looks like when a community knows its worth.

Come dressed in your most vibrant summer sunset colors, orange, purple, yellow, and beyond, paired with your finest formal attire. Bring the elegance.

The Crowning: Madison's Moment

Every crown has a story. Every story deserves to be celebrated.

At the heart of The Golden Hour is "The Crowning". Urban Triage's awards ceremony honors two of Madison's most influential and impactful Black organizations. This is not just a recognition. It is a public declaration of what this community has built, sustained, and refused to let go of, even when the road was hard.

For 30 minutes, we pause the celebration to center it. To look around the room and name the brilliance that has been here all along. The Crowning is precise by design, because excellence does not need a long explanation. It simply needs to be seen.

Reclaiming Our Voice Award

Bianca Martin | Cit Cast Madison

Reclaiming Our Crown is proudly honoring Bianca Martin with the Reclaiming Our Voice Award, a recognition that belongs equally to her and to the platform she leads.

Bianca Martin is a living example of Black Brilliance. As a driving force at Cit Cast Madison, she has built and sustained a media platform rooted in community ownership, authentic storytelling, and the unapologetic amplification of voices that deserve to be heard. City Cast Madison speaks for the people, creates space for the people, and is led by someone who believes deeply in the power and dignity of the people.

Bianca does not simply represent Cit Cast Madison, she embodies everything the platform stands for. Her vision, her leadership, and her presence have made both her name and Cit Cast Madison synonymous with excellence, courage, and community.

Urban Triage is honored to place this award in Bianca Martin's hands, celebrating her as an individual of extraordinary brilliance and Cit Cast Madison as a platform that continues to reclaim and elevate our community's voice.

Reclaiming Our Crown is proudly honoring Henry Sanders with the Black Brilliance Golden Hour of Truth Award, and this recognition is about more than one individual. It is a celebration of Madison365 as a media platform that speaks truth to power, holds accountability at its core, and has consistently shown up for this community with integrity and purpose.

Henry leads Madison365 in that truth and in that power. He is the face of a platform that has helped shape how Madison's community sees itself and demands to be seen by others. Urban Triage is honored to place this award in his hands, not only for the man he is, but for the institution he represents and the standard Madison365 continues to set.

Henry Sanders carries this crown on behalf of every story Madison365 has told, every voice it has amplified, and every truth it has refused to let go untold.

  • A curated brunch experience. We start on time and we honor your afternoon by ending on time.
  • Please arrive no later than 3:00 PM if you desire to eat and be seated.

• 5:00 PM - 5:30 PM | The Crowning Ceremony
  
  • The heart of the evening. Urban Triage will honor two of Madison's most prolific Black organizations in a ceremony that is powerful and deeply meaningful.
  • This is what "Reclaiming Our Crown" looks like in real time, a centering of brilliance, legacy, and the leaders who have given so much to this city.
  • Please be ready and seated by 4:45 PM, as the ceremony begins promptly at 5:00 PM.
  • Awardees will be announced May 15th.
